The Acropolis is one of the most amazing places I’ve been. As a college student, I went to Greece on a three-week Classics Studies Tour in 1987, and Athens was hot and polluted even back then. Sweat made my glasses slide off my little Asian nose like toddlers down a water park ride.

Claude Monet’s paintings make me feel like I’m at a picnic in a park in Giverny on a beautiful spring day with brie, rosemary bread, pinot noir, and a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich. (Sorry, it is my comfort food— didn’t mean to ruin the moment.)

I tell my patients that Im naturally blond with blue eyes. I just color my hair black and put on brown contact lenses so I dont look like an albino Korean-American man. Why does it seem to me everyone in Hollywood wants to be blue-eyed and blond?
